A New Direction
The Resource Ministry looks a little different then it has in the recent past. Due to budget constraints it was necessary to close the warehouse located in Santa Ana. Some of our goals have changed while others remain the same. One of our ministry partners, United Community Outreach has been in the thrift store business for fifteen years and has supported mens and womens rehabilitation facilities. Since our warehouse has closed we have formed a partnership with them to sell donations made to Mariners Resource Ministry/Mariners Church and share the revenue of the sale of the donations. We believe this to be a win-win situation for the two ministries and an answer to prayers. Donations to Mariners Resource Ministry are used to benefit the poor and needy through Mariners Outreach and other ministry partners.
How & Where to Donate
If you would like to make donations to Mariners Resources, you can drop them off at the lower parking lot by the Bonita Canyon entrance before and after every weekend worship service at Mariners Church. Volunteers will be able to assist you at the weekend services only.
What to Donate
Mariners Resources Ministry gladly accepts all donations that are brought to us; however, “TREASURES” like those listed below can impact more lives.
• Vehicles [cars and other motorized items]
• Collectibles [sports, Disney, porcelain dolls]
• Art [paintings, prints, sculptures, statues]
• Jewelry [watches, rings, precious stones]
• Electronics [computers, televisions, cameras, stereo equipment, MP3 players, DVD, CD audio/video players, PDAs, mobile phones, video games]
• Furniture/Home Décor [bedroom, dining and living room sets, desks, chairs, lighting fixtures]
• Tickets [season tickets for concerts, plays, sporting events, vintage stubs]
• Musical Instruments [strings, winds, percussion instruments, pianos, keyboards, amplifiers, sound boards…any and all instruments]
